Is Ambire a smart wallet?
Ambire enables smart wallet features to EOA accounts via EIP-7702.
Is Ambire live?
Yes, Ambire is live as an extension for Chrome-based browsers.
Is Ambire available on mobile?
There is a legacy mobile app available on iOS and Android. The Ambire team is working on a new version, meanwhile we recommend new accounts being created only in the Ambire extension.
Which networks does Ambire support?
Currently Ambire has natively integrated a wide range of EVM networks: Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Scroll, BNB chain, Gnosis - with support for Bitcoin and Solana coming in the future. Additionally, you can add any custom EVM chain yourself, as long as it has a working RPC.
How safe is Ambire?
Ambire is built on a security-first architecture and is constantly undergoing security audits. Additionally, we support transaction simulation and preview on any network.
Does Ambire support accounts from MetaMask and Rabby?
Yes, you can import an account via a private key, a seed phrase or a hardware wallet.
Can Ambire be used with a hardware wallet?
Yes, we support Trezor, Ledger and Grid+ Lattice.
What happens if I have a Smart Account created by a pre-Pectra version of Ambire?
No problem, it's still supported!
When I create a new account on Ambire, is it a Smart Account?
You are creating an EOA. Ambire enables smart features for both existing and new EOAs via EIP-7702.
Does Ambire work on networks that don't support EIP 7702?
It does! In line with our "it just works" ethos, Ambire gracefully falls back and emulates smart features when possible: Ambire works on any network, with any app that MetaMask or Rabby do, it just delivers a lot extra when possible, which is most of the time.
Can Ambire auto-detect my tokens?
Ambire will auto-detect all tokens that are available on Coingecko on the supported networks. We automatically learn new tokens via our simulations, and you can hide tokens or add custom tokens. Additionally we detect some DeFi positions.
Does Ambire use ERC-4337?
Currently, Ambire is using a relayer for the web and mobile versions of the wallet. ERC-4337 is available on the browser extension with Pimlico and Biconomy as bundlers.
